A phone call just hours before sunset set the stage for a truly magical engagement session. Noma, brimming with excitement, contacted me with a last-minute request: he planned to propose to his girlfriend, Uogwu, on the beautiful Isla Mujeres, and needed a photographer to capture this momentous occasion.
Despite the short notice, we quickly coordinated a plan to maximize the island’s stunning scenery. Our session began at Punta Sur, the southernmost point of Mexico, where we were blessed with a breathtaking golden hour. The vibrant hues of the setting sun provided a romantic backdrop as Noma prepared to pop the question.
The air was thick with anticipation as Uogwu arrived, unaware of the surprise that awaited her. With the Caribbean Sea as our witness, Noma knelt down and asked for her hand in marriage. The joy and emotion were palpable as Uogwu said “yes,” and I was honored to capture these precious moments.
We continued the session at the elegant Mia Reef Isla Mujeres hotel, taking advantage of its picturesque architecture and beachfront location. The celebration continued with candid shots of the newly engaged couple, their happiness radiating in every frame. It was a privilege to be a part of Noma and Uogwu’s special day, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
