Tulum is world-renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, but few things capture the heart quite like a hidden cenote engagement. When Eduardo reached out to me from the United States months ago, he had a singular vision: a romantic, unforgettable proposal for his girlfriend, Janett.
The Planning Process
Eduardo wanted every detail to be perfect. As his Tulum engagement photographer, I assisted him in sourcing local vendors to bring his vision to life. He ultimately chose a stunning cenote location that offered the perfect blend of natural beauty and privacy. The centerpiece? A magnificent rose heart and a glowing “Will you marry me?” sign.
A Sunset Surprise Turned night Magic
While the plan began at sunset, the natural timing of the evening allowed night to fall just as Eduardo dropped to one knee. The transition was serendipitous; the illuminated proposal sign popped brilliantly against the dark, limestone walls of the cavern, creating a striking and cinematic atmosphere.
The Big “Yes”
Under the soft glow of fairy lights and candles, Janett said “Yes!” The celebration continued with an intimate, candlelit dinner inside the cenote, allowing the couple to soak in the moment.
