Planning a surprise proposal in paradise is one of the most unforgettable experiences a couple can share, and as a Cancun Engagement Photographer, I have the privilege of documenting these once-in-a-lifetime moments in one of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
Korni and Hupp traveled to Cancun with a group of close friends to enjoy an incredible vacation together. They rented a beautiful private villa where everyone could relax, swim, and spend quality time together. What Korni didn’t know was that Hupp had been secretly planning a surprise proposal for months.
To keep everything natural, Hupp and his friends organized what appeared to be a birthday celebration. They hired me to photograph everyone enjoying the villa, capturing candid moments around the swimming pool, the hanging hammocks, and the tropical surroundings. Everything unfolded exactly as planned, allowing Korni to enjoy every moment without suspecting what was about to happen.
Later, the group walked down to the beach just before sunset. The golden light created the perfect atmosphere as they admired the Caribbean Sea. Suddenly, Hupp stepped onto the soft white sand, got down on one knee, and revealed the engagement ring. Korni was completely surprised, overwhelmed with emotion, and after a few joyful tears, she happily said yes.

Following the proposal, we enjoyed a relaxed engagement session on the beach, capturing beautiful portraits of the newly engaged couple surrounded by Cancun’s breathtaking turquoise waters. We also photographed their friends celebrating together before everyone gathered for a wonderful dinner by the sea. The sunset created an incredible backdrop while they shared laughter, delicious food, and unforgettable memories.
