When Steven and Ashley traveled to Mexico from the United States for a tropical vacation, they carried a special goal with them. Although Steven had already proposed back home, the couple hadn’t hired a photographer to capture the exact moment she said “Yes.” Wanting to immortalize their milestone against a dream backdrop, they decided to recreate their proposal along the turquoise Caribbean coast.
To turn this vision into reality, they searched online for an experienced Cancun engagement photographer. After browsing through my portfolio of natural, light-filled love stories, they checked my Google reviews to read firsthand experiences from previous couples. Impressed by the positive feedback, they reached out to schedule their custom engagement session.
We chose Playa Delfines as our location—a renowned stretch of soft white sand in the Cancun Hotel Zone. To capture the most magical atmosphere, we planned a early-morning shoot just before dawn. As the sun began to peek over the horizon, painting the sky in glowing shades of gold, pink, and pastel blue, Steven dropped to one knee on the quiet shore.
Recreating the proposal under the gentle morning sun allowed the couple to relive their emotional moment without distraction. The serene setting, paired with the rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the beach, brought out genuine smiles and natural tenderness. We moved from candid proposal photos to relaxed portraits strolling along the tide, taking full advantage of the golden hour light.
